About Wave3 Social
I started Wave3 because I felt something was missing. After reading a NY Times article about the decline of deep male friendships, I realized how many of mine had faded. Like a lot of guys in their 30s, I have close friends from college, a great wife, a good job... but I missed the sense of camaraderie I used to have.
My best friends from college all moved to different places, so I only see them once a year for a week-long trip (see photos above). What about the other 358 days? I wanted a regular crew, with real depth and history. That's why I built Wave3 as a space where guys can rebuild that kind of connection from the ground up.
It started in Boston, but it's not just a local experiment - it's a response to a growing need. Too many men feel isolated or stuck in routine. One fun night at the bar doesn't make life-long friendships. Wave3 exists to fix that in the most human way possible: by getting good people together consistently in real life.
Wave3 helps men build lasting, in-person friendships through curated events, monthly meetups, and low-pressure hangouts. No small talk, no pretentiousness. It's just a space to be yourself and meet other guys who actually want to connect. From beers and trivia to dinner parties and poker nights, everything we do is built around real connection.
We believe friendship should be intentional. That it shouldn't end with college. That it's never too late to find your people and start showing up for each other again. Wave3 is for the guys who get that and are ready to make it happen.
If you're in Boston (or want to help bring Wave3 to your city), jump in. Start by joining a free open meetup to meet the guys. From there, you can apply for the members club if you're looking for deeper stuff like curated dinners and smaller group hangs. We put on casual mixers, game nights, hikes, and other unique events.
Sign up, browse upcoming events, and see if this feels like something worth building together. Bring a friend, or just show up solo. Either way, you're welcome here.
